Engage Health + PT Story
As a Pelvic Floor and Orthopedic Physical Therapist who helps pregnant and postpartum women get rid of pain, leaking and weakness, I believe that women deserve MORE. Our bodies go through the biggest change of our life throughout pregnancy and during the postpartum period, yet we tend to put ourselves last during this time. We just deal with the leaking when we sneeze, the lower back pain while carrying your baby, the nerve pain down your leg or the painful sex.
In my 8 years of experience as a Physical Therapist, I’ve worked with thousands of people to help them heal their bodies through education, movement and hands-on treatments. My goal in life is to prevent others from having unnecessary surgeries, injections or medications. Our bodies are made to heal naturally, but sometimes need a nudge in the right direction.
I have a passion for helping active women be free from pain, leaking and weakness, but I also love helping women get STRONGER during their pregnancy and postpartum journeys by designing personalized workout plans. I believe the stronger we are, the more resilient we are from injuries. Motherhood is one of the most beautiful gifts in this world, but it is also really hard and really hard on our bodies.
As a new mom myself, I understand what it’s like to experience some of the common pregnancy and postpartum symptoms. I know what it’s like to suffer in silence because it can be embarrassing to have issues with your bladder, bowel or sexual health. I want you to know you’re not alone and that there is HOPE. Most conditions can improve. Contact us today to see if we're a good fit!
In my free time, you'll find me spending time with my husband, daughter and 2 crazy Boykin spaniels, hiking, lifting weights, running, reading and trying to become a gardener. I love being outside as much as I can! Motherhood has been my favorite phase of life so far.
